I've been a bit tardy!

Hi friends! Sorry I've been out of touch for a few weeks! It's been hard to keep up with the blog these days because we've got so much great stuff happening at Align Pilates

I'm knee deep in my new Vimeo Channel! But, I'm happy to share with you the latest videos that cover things, like:

  • Ab work

  • Side leg exercises

  • Planks

  • The Bridge

  • The flu bomb (super important during this crazy flu season!)

Learn more about all of the great stuff we've got cooking at Align Pilates. Check it out on my Vimeo Channel!

Hugs, and peace and love to each and every one of you!

*Approximately 31% of Americans suffer from back pain

What Causes Back Pain?

The back is a complicated structure of bones, joints, ligaments and muscles. You can sprain ligaments, strain muscles, rupture disks, and irritate joints, all of which can lead to back pain. While sports injuries or accidents can cause back pain, sometimes the simplest of movements—for example, picking up a pencil from the floor— can have painful results. In addition, arthritis, poor posture, obesity, and psychological stress can cause or complicate back pain. Back pain can also directly result from disease of the internal organs, such as kidney stones, kidney infections, blood clots, or bone loss.

Happy 2018!

Enjoy my first video of the New Year!

It's all about your hamstrings!

The hamstrings are made up of three long muscles: The biceps femoris, semitendinosus and semimembranosus, that run on the outside and inside of our legs.

These muscles stretch from your rear end to the backs of your knees. They not only help bend the knee, they stabilize the joint when walking and twisting.

Stretching daily is vital for pain relief, staying flexible and allowing blood flow for healing.
