I wanted to share with you a personal experience I’ve had recently with my health... I pulled out my back 3 weeks ago doing the smallest thing. I wasn’t able to work, I was in so much pain I was miserable. As a dentist, our backs and necks really take a beating. I was so desperate to get out of pain I decided to try Pilates for the first time. I could barely sit in that reformer (the machine that helps you stretch). After the one hour session, I stood up and wanted to cry tears of happiness. It was instant relief. I think of all of my colleagues that have been in similar situations and I think having awareness of options for our backs and learning to keep it healthy is so important so we can continue doing what we love... creating smiles.
I went to a lovely instructor in Vienna, Annabel Olah, that came highly recommended. She is very knowledgeable!! Dentists and hygienists should all have her info on hand!
